The Second California Volunteer Infantry Event portrays the soliders stationed at Fort Tejon during the civil war.

If you are interested in volunteering for the event as a soldier, please note our
Uniform And Equipment Guidelines.
The 2nd California Volunteer Infantry event is hosted by California State Parks and all are welcome.
The event has strict uniform guidelines for soldier impressions to help ensure the historic accuracy of the event. However, if you are having problems
meeting these requirements and would like to volunteer as a soldier , please reach out to Michael.Deagon@parks.ca.gov
far in advance of the event and State Parks will attempt to find the appropriate uniform and equipment items
needed to loan to you for the event. Please note that, depending on demand, we cannot guarantee that enough
items can be provided for everyone to volunteer as a soldier for this event.
Please also note that, as this is a public event, the uniform guidelines do not preclude anyone from
visiting the park as a as costumed visitor, regardless of the accuracy of their attire. Although costumed visitors are not able
to officially interpret the park resources on behalf of the park, they most certainly can enjoy the event! |
